CONTENT EDITING: Content editing, also known as developmental editing, reviews content for flow, readability and ease of understanding. It’s at this stage of the process that the book is edited to lift content to a publishable standard. The goal is to review the writing for effectiveness, cohesiveness and clarity. Sometimes we call this hard editing because we understand it can be hard for the author. However, it is often necessary to have someone with a different perspective edit your story so that the best possible story can be told. The best way to charge for this type of editing is by word which begins at .04 per word. This falls outside of the scope of any of our packages. If we believe content editing is needed, we will contact you and discuss your options.NOTE TO AUTHOR: If you have written over 100,000 words we strongly suggest having your work edited or creating two books from your manuscript. The length of the book affects the price point, as well as the author’s profits, in every way, especially once it is ready for distribution. A book consisting of 300+ pages costs the reader $21.95 and above on Amazon. Most readers are looking for a quicker, more affordable read.

COMPANION BOOKS: These are ideal communication aids for those wanting to share their content in settings such as conferences, churches, seminars or training events. Our companion books can be up to 32 pages with cover. This book would have a small “magazine” feel and have pages where conference attendees, parishioners and students could make notes. Prices upon request. In general, a companion book at 200 copies would range between $800-$1000 all in.

CATALOG PLACEMENT: Narratus Creative is excited to offer an option to participate in catalog placement in the Christian Retail Industry (CRA). These must be scheduled 6-months in advance. When using this type of catalog placement your book may be picked up by independent Christian Retail stores throughout the USA. Prices vary.
